Foster Care Associates (FCA) celebrates Foster Carer Appreciation Day to recognise the dedication and passion of their foster carers.
On Friday 12th October, FCA regions up and down the country united to say thank you to all their foster carers for all the incredible work they do looking after the children and young people in their care. Appreciation events included afternoon tea and carer lunches as well as photos of staff and foster carers in ‘selfie frame’ which captured many of the day’s special moments.
Roy Murray, Managing Director at FCA, said: “Our foster carers are truly unique people who day in, day out, make a long and lasting difference to the children in their care. Foster Carer Appreciation Day was a way for us to say a huge ‘thank you’ for their endless hard work and commitment and to show them just how much we all appreciate them.
“It was also an opportunity for us to recognise the birth children of carers who also play such an important role within the fostering family. The day was a great success, bringing together all of our teams in such a positive and uplifting way.”
Foster Carer Appreciation Day is one of many initiatives FCA hosts throughout the year aimed at bringing together and recognising the invaluable work of our foster carers and their families.
