Meet Elanie who approaches nearly two decades as a foster parent with FCA.
Elaine became a foster parent as she wanted a career change and to give something back. She explains: “Fostering is a lovely, pleasurable job. Yes, there are ups and downs, but the children we welcome into our care are all from different backgrounds and you’ve got to try and see beyond where they’ve come from. You must treat each child as an individual.”
She continues: “During the time I’ve been fostering with FCA, I’ve found the support to be fantastic – whenever I’ve needed support, someone has been there to help me.”
When asked if she would recommend fostering, Elaine replies, “Yes definitely!”
“It’s a job that you feel you get so much from.”
