FCA Midlands all came together to connect with our inner child and to have some fun as a team. A beautiful day was had at Cannon Hill Park offering the perfect space to bring everyone together to connect.
The day started off by sharing positive updates, with so much good practice going on it was impossible for the day not to continue in a positive vein. Other activities included team building by forming a human knot and a walking train. Collectively we learnt more about each other and what our best friends would say about us, good old fashioned rounders’ identified our competitive spirits before we hopped on to the train for a ride around the park (who knew that a simple train ride could evoke such wonderful smiles and giggles, there goes the inner child again). After an energetic morning we all enjoyed a lovely lunch together.
This day was a real special opportunity to have some down time, and connect with the people whom we work so closely. It was lovely to be in the fresh air and will strengthen our team going forward.
We sent a survey to the team to see how they felt after the Regional Day and these are just a few of the comments made:
"It was a relaxing morning and gave the opportunity to talk and get to know the newer members of the family :)"
"Getting to know each other better."
"Being outdoors and getting to know more about people I wouldn't usually speak to.”
"Rounders - highlighted just how competitive we all are! Got to know the newer staff a bit better."
What three words describe how you feel about the region?
"Family; caring; support"
"Involved, creative, family"
"Support, fun, unity"
