Every year, our Cymru choir participates in the Big Sing Off national choir competition. In 2024, we were lucky to host the event and welcomed over 400 children, young people, foster parents and staff to Newport to sing their hearts out and see who would receive the Big Sing Off crown.
Meet Rachel, a Participation Officer at FCA Cymru. Who can foster?
When it comes to being a foster parent and fostering a child, it’s your personal qualities that count. Apart from a few basics, there aren’t any hard and fast rules about who can foster, as long as you are able to provide a stable home then you could make a brilliant foster parent. You just need to ensure you meet the following requirements:
- You’re over 21 years old
- You have the legal right to live and work in the UK
- You have a spare bedroom that’s always available to a child
- You’re passionate about making a difference
