When you join our South East fostering family, we’ll provide you with round-the-clock support – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with your own dedicated supervising social worker. Our in-depth training will also provide you with all the tools and knowledge you need to care for children.
Our high-quality training programmes are accessible and relevant to all our foster carers, and are designed to work flexibly around your schedule, with opportunities to learn both online and face-to-face at your nearest training office.
It doesn’t matter if you’re female, male, non-binary, straight, gay, single, married, divorced or don’t have any experience in working with children. It’s the dedication and commitment to transforming vulnerable children’s lives is what makes the difference.
Our local team are based throughout the South East, supporting families in areas including Southampton, Isle of Wight, Hampshire, West Sussex, East Sussex, and more.

To support our foster parents and children and young people in the best possible way, we have a regional group of highly skilled social workers and our own therapist who are brimming with experience and knowledge.
When you join us, you’ll be joining our community with access to one of the greatest fostering support packages out there. You’ll have access to:

- Local Referrals teams that concentrate on making quality matches of children and young people with suitable foster parents

Who can foster?
When it comes to being a foster parent and fostering a child, it’s your personal qualities that count. Apart from a few basics, there aren’t any hard and fast rules about who can foster, as long as you are able to provide a stable home then you could make a brilliant foster parent. You just need to ensure you meet the following requirements:
- You’re over 21 years old
- You have the legal right to live and work in the UK
- You have a spare bedroom that’s always available to a child
- You’re passionate about making a difference
Bournemouth Fostering Allowance and Benefits
