FCA has been selected as a finalist in a prestigious video production The Drum Roses Awards in one of the TV and cinema commercial categories.

FCA made the video in conjunction with Worcester-based Conteur, a PR and video agency and are up against BBC Sport and Bristol-based, Cowshed.

John Platt, FCA’s Managing Director said: “It is incredible to see our brand up against some big contenders like the BBC for this award. The world of foster care is a wonderful place, and adverts and awards like this really help us to put FCA on the map.

The video advertisement, features two parents and their foster children. It illustrates a number of before and after shots, showing the incredible difference that foster care can make to the life of a child. John continued: “To be a foster parent is an incredible career choice, and something that so many children depend upon. Often, children require care through no fault of their own. “This could be because their parents have passed away, have addiction issues or because the children are unaccompanied asylum seeking children. All of these scenarios are heart wrenching, which is why it means so much to us at FCA to be able to showcase our amazing work through this advertisement, and its nomination for an award.”

The Sky AdSmart video advert aims to be simple but powerful, and the advertisement shows the transformation between one home and the other, highlighting the importance of foster care. Gillian Davies, Director at Conteur helped bring the video advert to life. She said: “The concept for this film took several weeks to finalise but we were thrilled with the results. As a team, we work hard to bring out the very best stories from the clients we work with and it’s fantastic to see all of our hard work recognised in this way.
FCA are an incredible organisation, and we couldn’t be prouder to support them throughout these awards.”

FCA hopes that the video will help encourage more people to consider a career change to fostering to help support some of the 80,000 children currently in the UK’s care system.
