What is Foster Care Fortnight?
One of the UK’s biggest fostering awareness campaigns, Foster Care Fortnight is delivered by The Fostering Network – the leading fostering charity.
This year, running from the 10th – 23rd May, Foster Care Fortnight aims to raise awareness about fostering showcasing how foster care can transform the lives of children and young people.
With over 30,000 children coming into care each year, foster parents are needed now more than ever to provide a safe, loving home to children up and down the country.
By raising awareness and challenging the stigma surrounding children in foster care, the campaign aims to encourage more people to come forward to foster.
How FCA will be getting involved:
In line with this year’s theme, #WhyWeCare, FCA will be shining a light on the resilience and dedication of our foster parents.
You’ll have the opportunity to hear from the whole fostering community hear at FCA. From our children’s participation team and social workers, to the first-hand experience of our foster parents – the campaign offers opportunities to learn more about the whole fostering journey.
How you can get involved:
FCA is one of the country’s largest and most experienced fostering agencies covering the whole of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We always need more foster parents who can help give a child or young person the fresh start they need.
